It was one of my good friend's engagement last Sunday. All dolled-up and lookin' oh-so demure. Erm, the pinky baju kurung was a post-engagement outfit. The real outfit was more... glamourous, I should say. Well, a new phase for her. Congrats my dear!

Best kan? Wait till the big day comes. Hopefully I get to see the 2 of you on the pelamin ey. How we have all grown... While some are already going through the marriage period, some of us are going backwards instead of going forward or rather, on a standstill.

At this age, people are already asking for the wedding invitation card. Either that or they'll ask my parents, "Menantu mana?" (Where's your son-in law?). For example the recent Hari Raya festive. All I could do was to just sit pretty, smile spastically and then resume to whatever I was doing. (Most of the time I was chowing down food).

I, for some reason, happen to find these things amusing. I'm not uncomfortable at all when it comes to topics like these. Shy? Not really. Just amused. By senior citizens' typicality = their topic of conversations. Haha.

The parents have given me the green light tho'. He said the other day to a friend, the sooner we get married the better. Trust me. I got the shock of my life when I heard that statement. Those who don't know my history wouldn't find this ridiculously funny.

BUT he also advised us to enjoy life while we can. Enjoy life to the fullest. Earn $$$ and travel as much as we can. Thankfully, marriage is not a big issue in my family. Unlike all my other relatives who tend to think otherwise. A good thing because we are not pressurized so I can just take my own sweet time.

Unfortunately, the enthusiasm has since died down. I'm certainly not too keen on making an effort to socialise. Not right now. Life is good as it is. It would be nice but I rather just go with the flow. Anyway I've been flowing all my life so I'll just keep on flowing.

Quite cliched' but I'd like to live by it. Don't worry, be happy!
