My 'sick' Forte. @ 1:41 pm

Generalized Anxiety Disorder (GAD) is an anxiety disorder characterized by chronic anxiety, usually exaggerated by excessive worry and tension; even when there is little or nothing that provokes it.

And I think I have a friend who might be suffering from this. Not a serious one of course... It scares me sometimes but it gives me an inside view of what victims of GAD are like. What are her real reasons, I really wanna know.

At this point, I really couldn't give her any kind words, I'm not that kind to start of with... I'm a little straight-forward when it comes to her but it's only for her own good. Otherwise, she will be in denial forever. But the way I put it across to her is in such a manner that altho' I'm being stern, somehow it will sound... kind. Heh.

My 'forte' is really not in the line of relationships. *thanks GOD* I don't specialize in social-relationship psychology. In fact, I don't want to be specializing in it. It freaks me out! Eeek! Oh gosh no. Given a choice, I wouldn't even want it to be in my list of choices.

Yesterday, we touched on a very interesting topic during lecture. The topic that got me started when I was still a budding teen. Thanks to Sidney Sheldon. The very subject that got me really interested in Psychology. The one area I wish to pursue in (now you will know why I choose to do Forensic Psychology).

Dissociative Identity Disorder (DID), more famously known as Multiple-Personality Disorder (MPD). Please don't confuse this with Schizophrenia. Another familiar term for DID/MPD would be Alter-egos. Why forensic? Apparently, many criminals tend to have or malinger this disorder (*hint hint* Crime Library). So experts are called in to give their testimonies or do tests to verify them during trial in court.

However, do check these movies/books out if you're keen. Some of which are true biopics and some of which you might have seen. My all-time favourite movie was Primal Fear, the ultimate movie that triggered the passion.

I'm sure many of you have caught Primal Fear but never really paid attention to it. The ending was absolutely superb. I remembered being shit stunned as Richard Gere's character.

This is a true story of a girl so damaged by her traumatic past that she created 16 different alters. Good one this one.

Other DID movies include:
- Fight Club
- Me, Myself and I
- Psycho
- Dressed To Kill
- The Three Faces of Eve
- Voices From Within
- Lizzie
- Never Talk To Strangers etc etc...

Ya, ok I know I'm psychotic. Enjoy.
