A Short Getaway @ 10:26 am

Was at Downtown when I saw them...

Rivermaya, if you don't already know. The band that brought us 'You'll be Safe Here'. At first, I didn't know it was them. I knew they were coming to perform at the Marquee tho' but I didn't think I would actually get to see them right in front of my very eyes.

I saw them walk up and down for quite awhile as I was digging into my satays. I remember thinkin... these bunch of boys look pretty glam to be walkin around here. And they don't look like normal guys, with their black rock outfits and somewhat primped up look with cool haircuts. They look like rock stars. After a while, I thought to myself... Oh don't tell me they're Rivermaya.

So I asked my sis, "Eh, they look like Rivermaya. They're Rivermaya right?"

"Yup." She said matter-of-factly.

And the other sis went, "Oh where?! Where?! Those guys?"

Then they saw themselves on TV, and pointed excitedly that it's them. It was them alright.

Not like I'm a big fan but they were pretty cool. I was more keen on them rather than the local celebrity, Mastura Ahmad, sitting behind us. Anyway, it was a good Friday indeed. Had a blast with the family. Dad regretted not opting for Sakura International Buffet, since I was gonna pay. Heh. I suggested initially but he didn't want to cos he thought Sakura had no oysters (???). I didn't know oysters to him is worth the 24 bucks per head. And they don't even taste good. Not as good as siputs or cockles, I feel... But nvm.

Anyway, Sis bought me this...

a 2-GB Samsung YP-K3, a smaller version of K5, in exchange for my 4-GB iPod Nano. K5 is the one Pussycat Dolls and Fergie carries around yayapapaya-ly in their videos.

I'm still a lil bit sad having to part with my beloved iPod but I sacrified it for sis. I didn't want her to spend another 400 bucks getting the same Nano so I might as well give her mine, and I'll just purchase a cheaper one. A pretty good buy, I must say. I've grown so attached to it that leaving it is so difficult to do. I still call my new mp3 player, iPod. *sobs*. Nothing beats the Nano. I hope she's happy with my her Nano.

The K3 is pretty cool, pretty slick nevertheless. Touchscreen and all. It looks good enough to eat. The only minus point is that it can't display album artworks (and that frustrates me to the core!). Other than that, I guess I could get used to it. But the thought of transferring my songs over... ish... is killing man.

Oh, and she (the wretched one) mentioned my Dad in her blog. The nerve... Fool of a Took. Big mistake, sweetheart. Well, a spoilt brat will ALWAYS be a spoilt brat. I hate to break it to you but this world doesn't revolve around you, my dear. Treating your dad like he's suppose to kowtow to you when he's the father and YOU'RE the daughter. Please wake up. It's about time you realise that you're not the Empress Dowager of some deluded Dynasty you made up.

I really hope you'll take your meds and recover soon. Spare others the trouble and move on. Enough about your pain.
