I don't particularly like it when people have this thinking that psychologists can read minds. It's a famous misconception widely used by people who have no idea what psychologists or psychiatrists do.

I have a few colleagues who asked me that one stupid question, "Eh so you all can read minds ah?" And then snigger themselves silly. It's funny to watch them make a fool out of themselves.

Usually, I'll just sigh and walk away thinking what idiots they are.

Yesterday, this one guy asked me that same question and I got reasonably peeved.

"We're not psychics." I told him straight with my super straight face.

Psychologists don't gaze through fancy crystal balls that appears to be telling you something with those fake lightning thing going on inside them when they're actually just plugged on to the electricity circuit ok.

Let me make this clear for once. Psychics and psychologists are two entirely different professions and have absolutely nothing to do with one another.
