Primordial Dwarves and Shingles @ 8:53 am
Well I'm back at the fort today. Yesterday, I was away to conduct some training to 2 people. A very sad, sad number indeed. Suppose to be 3, but one of them cabut but it's ok. It's not like I can be bothered anyway. I didn't even know I was suppose to guide a 'class' until she brought me to the lecture room.
Needless to say, I almost freaked out. I mean, who wouldn't?! Especially when you're just a graded staff and not a qualified trainer. I was told to teach someone only but I ended up with a projector and before I knew it, I was conducting a mini class of my own.
Actually, come to think of it, it was pretty cool. For once, I was the one walking around checking on them, instead of the usual.
It was tiring, I tell you. Not an easy job. At the end of the day, I just wanted to go home and sleep. But as usual, I slept at 1. Or 2 in the morning.
I hate what Mediacorp is doing. I wish they would re-schedule the Tuesday's Crime Night to say... Friday or Saturday. You know, 3 good shows (CSI, Criminal Minds & Bones) screening till late on a weeknight where you have to wake up damn early the next morning is torturous man!
But then again, nobody will stay up late on a Friday or Saturday night to watch tv shows cos everybody will be busy clubbing or something. Except for myself. So fine, I'll just sacrifice myself then for the sake of good ratings.
Since I was back early, I managed to catch the Tyra Banks show. You know that model with the biggest boobs on the runway. Anyway, that episode for some reason, got me all choked up. I just have the utmost respect for these people... the
Primordial Dwarfs.

They are so tiny, it's almost hard to believe that it's actually a true condition. It's not that I've not seen midgets before but it's heartbreaking to know that they may not live long. But what was most touching was the spirit that they have within them to withstand every obstacle. They may be small but they're big in many ways.
By the way, sis got Shingles and I have to say that it is the most eeriest thing I've seen so far. I remember Ah Chan mentioning it to me that he got Shingles too. And now I know what it is. It's not a pleasant thing to have, mind you.
Shingles or Herpes Zoster derive from the same virus that caused the Chicken Pox. Shingles happen when they are re-activated by emotional stress, severe illness or deficiency in the immune system.
Those who have Chicken Pox before may or may not get Shingles in the later part of their lives. One thing's for sure, the Chicken Pox virus never leaves the body once you got it. Shingles are not contagious unless you have never gotten Chicken Pox before.
Understand?
It's scary, trust me. You won't wanna catch it.
