Photos! - Part II @ 9:06 am
continuation from previous post...Last Friday, my parents and my aunt and uncle finally took that plane. Alot of people turned up to send them off. Alot of tears too. This time around, it was more emotional than before. Yes, even I no matter how much I tried to contain myself.
That night, I just couldn't sleep well. Worried about the flight all. I kept praying to God to let them have a safe flight. In fact, I was terrified.
But all is good. We were so happy when mom called home. I guess you never truly realised how much they mean to you or how much they've done for you and how much you'll miss them until they're gone.
Like today. I woke up at 7 when I set the alarm at 6! I start work at 7.45 am, mind you. What I used to find her constant snooze irritating, now seemed a lil more meaningful. Haha. And now I know how it feels to feed 5 hungry people
everyday. It's a tough job trying to constantly think of what to cook for them and having to work too. But for me, I always want to put good food on the table so I tend to think extra hard. -__-'
Can't believe she's so far away from us. Everyday, I worry if she's got enough sleep or energy to sustain her so that she can fulfill her Haj dutifully. Or if she's bored cos we have always been her source of entertainment. Haha.
Oh well, I know they'll be fine.
Anyway, last Saturday, we shopped at Giant till our toes nearly came off. We decided to get the ingredients to make.......
SUSHI!Actually it was suppose to be
kimbap. Korean for sushi. It's the same thing
lah basically.
We had so much fun making sushi and adding whatever fillings we feel like having. Even tho' the rice was a lil too sticky, it was still delicious. We kept on making and making and eating and eating.

Of the few we made were the usual corn roll, crabmeat roll, and combo maki of cucumber, omelet, white radish and salami.

Roll, roll, roll... like a pro.

And then you slice them...

And wa-la!

And we made more!

Finally, complete with wasabi and a pair of chopsticks, we dig in! It looks very little but we actually made alot. It's just that we kept putting them into our mouths after we cut them. Haha. So hard to resist, no?
Yum! I wanna make some more!!!
