Mind Boggling @ 2:37 pm

Johnny Depp finally won a Best Actor award for the musical Sweeney Todd at the Golden Globes. Yes, finally. In all of his career, only now did he get the recognition he truly deserved. So, yay!

I remember reading about Sweeney Todd, the Demon Barber in Crime Library many moons ago and well, who would've thought they were gonna make it into a film. And featuring one of my favourite actors, no less, so of course me gonna watch it ey.

Anyways, this is probably old news but have you guys seen Gisele Bundchen's Ipanema sandals and flip flops?! Man, are they nice. And super comfy too!

I have my eyes set on this one...

and so I'm gonna get it today! Love the whole crystal thing that's embedded on the front strap. And it's on sale nationwide so why the hell not since I love slippers so much.

I know I have been spending alot on slippers lately but I really can't resist this one. I just have to have it lah.

This morning I read a shocking news about exam stress that reportedly threw some kids into suicide and insanity. And it breaks my heart to see them this helpless and unable to function. And we thought we were going "mad" when we were sitting for our exams. While the word 'mad' is just a word for us, it is more real than ever of a condition for these suicide-prone students.

At least somehow we managed a pass and got through it but for some of these kids, they ended up in the mental hospital instead and would've probably literally lost their mind while trying to "succeed".

The news reported, "A Singapore mother who walked into her daughter's room one day, just before the girl's final examinations, witnessed a disturbing spectacle that left her badly shaken.

Her teenage daughter had emptied a bottle of glue over her own head. She was furiously rubbing one of her textbooks over her head and repeating to herself, 'Get in, get in, get in.'"

Now, you tell me if that is not heartbreaking enough.

Doctors have warned parents to "not push their kids so hard" but I think the sound advice will just fall on deaf ears because living in S'pore is as such.

And so the question remains for most parents and doctors alike... What is the perfect formula?

Till then...
