Bridge to Terabithia @ 1:02 pm

From the film-makers of The Chronicles of Narnia, comes this enchanting tale of the magical kingdom, Terabithia.

And I thought it was the 2nd Narnia movie - Prince Caspian but no. Bridge to Terabithia is another beloved popular children's novel. If you enjoyed Narnia as much as I do (my, it's been 2 years already), then you should probably catch this one once it's released in April.

Frankly speaking, ever since I saw the trailer, I can't wait! It gave me goosebumps indicating another good joy-ride into such fantasies. Very much like Harry Potter, L.O.T.R and Narnia. But then it tend to linger... wishing I was in that kinda world instead of here.

Anyway, I was never aware of all this supposedly "popular" children novels. I didn't know about Narnia either.

I grew up with classics like Disney, Peter Rabbit, Enid Blyton's series, Treasure Island, etc etc. Oh and this one, all my generation will know definitely... Sweet Valley High. Remember Elizabeth and Jessica Wakefield? I used to think the twins were gorgeous on TV...

But no, I wasn't a Nancy Drew back then. I thought Nancy Drew and Famous Five (even tho' it was written by Enid B.) were just downright blah for me.

And of course, not forgetting, my favourite childhood mystery books by R. L. Stine.

Somehow, I prefer R. L. Stine to Christopher Pike. I love his 'Fear Street' books, always gives me the chills and the suspense feeling fulfilled. I always like to guess who's the murderer. Gosh, I miss those days...

I know they all sound kinda cheesy now but I really enjoyed those books. Those books were my companion for a long time and they led me to more mature reading. Tho' looking back, these books make me feel kinda old...

I must say, I love my childhood despite the booboos. Fantasies and dreams were already a part of me ever since I was a kid. All this I owe to my mom for bringing me to the Library for the 1st time and made me my 1st library card. I remembered how happy I was as I stepped out of the library, holding tight to the 4 books I had borrowed for the very 1st time.

So I must say Thank You to her for she had been the one who made me discover my love for books at a very young age and introduced this enthralling world to me.
